SU Tuition Assistance Application and Deadlines

URGENT UPDATE

SU has requested that all ESF employees applying to receive dependent tuition assistance from Syracuse University use the attached newly created form for SUNY-ESF faculty and staff.

Please complete, print, sign and return this application to me in 216 Bray Hall, SUNY-ESF Human Resources for verification of employment eligibility prior to the appropriate deadline noted below.

First Application:

November 15 for early decision applicants

February 1 for regular admission applicants.

Negotiations Process Enters New Phase

Negotiations update: Jan. 18

UUP’s Negotiations Team met with state negotiators on Jan. 11.

     The next negotiations session is set for Jan. 26, with additional dates scheduled in January and February.

     This stage of the negotiations process involves each side responding to detailed proposals and counterproposals to arrive at an agreement on each specific contract item under consideration.

     In addition to time spent meeting with the state’s negotiators, UUP’s Negotiations Team continues to spend many hours in preparation for each negotiations session.

    Over the past few months, the negotiations process has advanced from the initial stages of proposal presentation and clarification to more extensive discussions of each item on the table.

     UUP’s Negotiations Team has provided the state with detailed explanations and supporting data for all of its proposals. The team has also responded to all of the state’s proposals.

     The process will continue during our next scheduled sessions.
