{"id":441,"date":"2016-02-12T19:42:00","date_gmt":"2016-02-12T19:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uuphost.org\/binghamton\/?p=441"},"modified":"2016-02-18T20:33:24","modified_gmt":"2016-02-18T20:33:24","slug":"solidarity-statements-from-the-uup-binghamton-chapters-executive-board","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uuphost.org\/binghamton\/?p=441","title":{"rendered":"Solidarity Statements from the UUP Binghamton Chapter\u2019s Executive Board"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>1) On February 10, 2016, the Executive Board of the UUP Binghamton Chapter passed the following motion:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>MOVED<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<strong>that Binghamton University UUP strongly supports the workers of SODEXO as they negotiate a new contract.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><strong><em>MOTION PASSED WITHOUT DISSENT<\/em><\/strong><em>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This motion was passed because hundreds of Sodexho workers on campus, represented by United Professional &amp; Service Employees Union (UPSEU) Local 1222 are in negotiations with Sodexho for a new and fair multi-year contract.
