While this may be clear at other SUNY institutions, the uniqueness of our mentoring requires us to ask for more explicit delineation of responsibilities. We have been attempting to address the vagueness of our appointment letters through labor-management. As we do not feel that this years letters have clarified expectations for teaching and mentoring, governance and research or community service, we have filed a class action grievance. As the grievance moves along we will keep you posted. To help support our actions I would appreciate copies of your appointment letter and/or any attachments you have received. Please send me copies at home: 181 Bernhardt Dr., Snyder, NY 14226.
If you have questions or do not think your appointment letter is complete or accurate, call me. Also, we need to know if you have not received your appointment letter. My home phone number is (716) 839-1224 or at the office (716) 686-7831. You can email me at jacquib@roadrunner.com
