Information About 2011 Discretionary Salary Increase Available

The discretionary salary increases for 2011 are now available. The UUP Binghamton Chapter Executive Board has once again decided to provide this public salary information on its website. The DSI money was part of the UUP contract that expired July 1, 2011. No information is available about possible future DSI provisions in the contract that is currently being negotiated.

  • Discretionary Salary Increases are at the complete discretion of the administration. The administration creates the criteria by which the awards are distributed and determines the amounts of each award. Different schools, departments, and units have different criteria and procedures. Questions about DSI criteria and procedures should be through the supervisory chain. In the past, DSI have been awarded for merit, promotion, and retention.
